If you're looking for a better alternative to conventional furniture stores, Studio 289's work is perfect for you. How long does the design process take?

Most of our furnishings take about 6 to 8 weeks to complete. In the event your piece requires a longer timeline, we will advise you ahead of time and keep you informed throughout the process.

I would like to book an in-person meeting. What is involved in the consultation process?

We want to help you make the most of our time together, so having the basic specs of the space for your piece will be helpful. This includes things like the room's dimensions and your preferred colour scheme. Pictures of the room and any existing furniture that's in there would be useful as well. Don't worry if you're not sure exactly what you're looking for —we can offer suggestions and help clarify your vision for your space while keeping your preferences and personal style top of mind.

Can I see Studio 289 furniture in-person?

Yes! We are located at 289 Bering Avenue in Toronto. Call us at 416-234-0289, or send us an email at info@studio289furniture.ca. Our showroom is open weekdays from 10-4. For your convenience, we are available by appointment on evenings and weekends.

Can I buy Studio 289 pieces online?

At Studio 289, each piece is made on order after in-depth consultation with a client. Because we focus on custom-made furnishings, ready-made items are not available to purchase on our website.

Can you work to update or refresh furniture that I already own?

Yes! We have a variety of upholstery choices and would love to help update your favourite pieces and give them a new life. Get in touch with us to discuss your options!

Furniture Design and Construction:

How are Studio 289's pieces constructed? Who designs and creates the furnishings?

You do - with our help! Our talented staff have years of experience in the custom furniture and interior design industry. Before we begin production, we typically start with a prototype to check for feasibility and work out any challenges with the design before we build the real one! We lean on the expertise of our entire team when testing out a new piece to make sure the process goes smoothly without any surprise holdups.

What types of materials do you use?

We use high quality, durable materials, like maple hardwood, polyurethane foam, 100% cotton felt, rubber webbing and springs in our final product. We invite our clients to choose a fabric from our wide range or provide your own!

Furniture Delivery:

What are your delivery policies?

We deliver our pieces within a week of completion to the GTA and surrounding areas. Contact us to confirm the costs of delivery and whether we service your location.

Can I pick up my Studio 289 furniture instead of having it shipped?

Yes! Please ensure you have a vehicle large enough to accommodate the size of the item without damage.

Our Customer Satisfaction Policies:

What if I am unhappy with the final result? Do you offer returns?

While we don't offer returns, our extensive consultation process ensures you get exactly what you had in mind. We don't start building your piece until you've provided your final approval of the submitted design. If you're unsatisfied with the end product, we can work with you and offer tweaks to the design to make it right.

What happens if my Studio 289 furniture gets damaged?

We provide repair services in the event of damage. We will assess the breakage and suggest restoration options if applicable. Please note that a fee will apply for repairs—please contact us to obtain a quote.
